Hillary Takes the Call

Secretary of State Clinton used every bit of leverage at her dispopsal to force the Obama Adminstration to make a decision on Libya — including a well-timed announcement/shot across the bow yesterday that she won’t serve another term as President Obama’s top State Department official.  She then led the successful effort at the United Nations Security Council to authorize air cover for Libya’s rebels, which could begin by tomorrow.

In doing so, Mrs. Clinton more than proved true her 2008 campaign ad. When the 3 a.m. call comes in, who do you trust to answer it?

The big question in Libya, though: Is it too late? Did President Obama dither too long?

Simple truth is Obama is still fixing the many thing’s that GWB destroyed. In this case, real coalition building. As we write, France is taking the lead on Libya. Thank God. If the right was being consistent they would would hail this as a tremendous savings of tax payers money. I would expire if I held my breath for that to happen. And let’s be real, Hilary works for him. The only reason she took the 3:00 a.m. call is because he was the guy on the other end of the line.

Hillary’s been prepping for that call her entire life. She would have answered regardless of who was on the other side. Well, unless it were Bill. Some nights she’d probably let that ring:-)

We should’ve elected the most qualified candidate. Too much bromance in the air back in 2008.

As for that 3 AM call – he’d be out in the Rose Garden smoking a Newport and cranky Michelle would pick it up and hang up.
