The 2012 presidential campaign has hardly begun, but I thought it might be instructive and entertaining to post some classic presidential televisions ads on this site going forward.  This 60-second ad is from the successful Nixon-Agnew ’68 campaign.

Dripping with irony. From the man who famously hated shaking hands. And what’s with the outright theft of the Kennedy quote? Very clunky editing of that quote. The piece kind of reminded me of Mission Impossible, with the music and the tight shots and fast cuts. Nice blast from the past. Thanks for sharing.
