I’m wondering, does anything come in the U.S. mail anymore that I actually want? Anything? I stopped all direct mail solicitations a few years back, so I think it’s pretty much just bills for me these days, and who wants them. Everything good comes from Fedex or UPS.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big fan of the US Postal service — it never ceases to amaze me that they can get a tiny envelope with illegible scrawl across it anywhere in the country in two or three days, virtually 100% of the time — but informed predictions of US mail going to three-day-a-week delivery within 15 years sound perfectly reasonable to me.
