Obama Wanted to Apologize to Who?

Written By: William F. B. O'Reilly - Oct• 12•11

Blythe Investor’s Business Daily is reporting that President Obama sought to publicly apologize to the Japanese government for America’s use of atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki to end World War II.  The weapons probably saved more than one hundred thousand U.S. lives, one of them being my father’s.  He was on his way to Japan for the invasion, after being wounded twice fighting the Germans in Italy.  The Japanese reportedly rejected the President’s idea.

Four words and some choice punctuation:  Are you *%@! kidding me? Was the President next planning to apologize to the Germans about Dresden?

I really, really, really hope this report proves to be inaccurate.   But it so sounds like Barack Obama. Amazing if true.

I hope this is not true. The dropping of those bombs saved thousands of American and hundreds of thousands of Japanese lives by ending the war quickly without an invasion. President Obama should ask the Chinese what they think about Japan’s conduct of that war. Chinese casualties were in the tens of millions and the atrocities committed by Japan on Chinese civilians are unspeakable. And let’s not discuss the Japanese treatment of prisoners of war.

This really makes me wonder if President Obama took a history class while he attended Columbia University.
